As an Automotive Salesperson at Generation Buick GMC, part of the Generation Auto Group collection, you are the face of our dealership and play a key role in creating a positive and seamless car-buying experience for our customers. This position requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a customer-first mindset. Your ability to build relationships, understand customer needs, and guide them through the sales process directly impacts customer satisfaction, dealership performance, and long-term loyalty.

What You’ll Be Doing
The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming dealership experience
Identify customer needs and guide them through the vehicle selection process
Present and demonstrate vehicle features, benefits, and technology
Conduct test drives and explain vehicle performance and capabilities
Build and maintain relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
Stay up to date on product knowledge, current inventory, and manufacturer programs
Work closely with management and the finance team to structure and finalize deals
Follow up with customers before and after the sale to ensure satisfaction
Maintain accurate customer records and activities in the CRM system
Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
Assist with showroom presentation, vehicle displays, and lot organization
Handle customer inquiries, objections, and concerns in a professional manner

What We’re Looking For

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Punctual, dependable, self-motivated, and committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.
Outgoing, confident, and comfortable building relationships with customers throughout the sales process.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong customer service, sales, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to listen to customer needs, explain vehicle features and options, and confidently guide customers through the vehicle purchasing process.
Comfortable using CRM systems, dealership technology, computers, tablets, and other digital sales tools.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented sales environment.
Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven dealership environment.
Professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, move throughout the showroom and dealership lot, and regularly enter and exit various vehicles throughout the workday.
Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds, as well as perform job duties indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions,
Flexible availability, including evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and other dealership operating hours as required.
Previous automotive sales, retail sales, customer service, or other commission-based sales experience is preferred, but not required.
