JN Chevrolet is seeking a professional, customer-focused, and results-driven Service Consultant to join our growing Service Department team in Honolulu. The Service Consultant serves as the primary liaison between customers and the dealership’s service technicians, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maintaining efficient workflow, communication, and sales performance within the service drive.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival to the Service Department
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and requested services
- Prepare repair orders and communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs to customers
- Coordinate with technicians and parts personnel to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
- Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding vehicle status updates and additional repair needs
- Recommend maintenance services, repairs, tires, accessories, and service packages based on manufacturer guidelines and customer needs
- Review completed repairs with customers and ensure satisfaction prior to vehicle delivery
- Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Maintain CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) standards and dealership service goals
- Ensure all documentation, warranties, and repair orders are completed accurately and in compliance with dealership policies
- Assist with appointment scheduling and daily service lane operations
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the dealership brand
Qualifications
- Previous automotive service advisor, service consultant, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Basic automotive knowledge preferred but not required
- Proficiency with computers, email, and dealership software systems preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including Saturdays as needed
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a dealership service department
- Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, or dealership management software experience
- Upselling and customer retention experience
- Knowledge of Chevrolet or General Motors products and services
