We’re looking for a driven Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our dealership toward continued growth and success. As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll support the General Manager in ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and a superior customer experience across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the General Manager to manage daily dealership operations and ensure all departments meet performance and profitability goals.
- Lead, motivate, and develop department managers through training, goal setting, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor sales, service, and financial metrics; provide actionable insights and recommend improvements as needed.
- Conduct regular meetings with department leaders to align operational strategies and ensure consistent communication.
- Oversee customer satisfaction and retention efforts, resolving higher-level concerns as they arise.
- Assist with financial planning, forecasting, and review of monthly statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer representatives, lending institutions, and business partners.
- Support the creation of marketing and merchandising initiatives that drive customer engagement and profitability.
- Champion a positive workplace culture that fosters teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- 4–10 years of progressive management experience in the automotive industry or a comparable retail business.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of dealership operations.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Proven ability to analyze performance data, make informed decisions, and execute effective business strategies.
